The students at my school come from homes where many of them are not getting their basic needs met. These materials will provide a safe space for my students to come in and relax when they are stressed. They will be given an area to nap so they are able to focus on their work. Students will also be given a safe space where they can learn calming techniques that they can utilize for the rest of their lives. The student support center room is being designed to provide a safe space that feels like home.
