The last two years have been challenging for our students. I would like to add some fun and engaging supplies to close some of the learning gaps this pandemic has caused.
These students deserve better than what these past two years have given them. I selected math manipulatives including fraction strips (5.NF.A.2). Also timer and multiplication game to help them build up their math fluency (5.NBT.B.5).
I also selected some non-fiction books to expand our class library which was full with mostly fiction (RI.5.1-10). Some of the multicultural books will ensure that all students will be represented in our classroom.
The science selections will enhance our Earth and Sun science unit (5-ESS1-1,2).
