My students need support in different areas. When we read it would be awesome if they have their own book to read and refer to for text evidence. Our science and Social Studies curriculum needs a helping hand to solidify the information into their minds. The headphones will also support students to watch differentiated videos and learn from home if they are quarantined from home due to Covid-19. These materials will help support multiple standards in Literacy, Science, and Social Studies. Some of the standards are CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.5.1,CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RI.5.1, CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RI.5.2, SS.5.16., SS.5.15, 5-ESS2-1. These are a small number of standards that these materials will support. My students are on their way to middle school, and using these donations to help solidify their skills will get them where they need to be before they take off on that adventure. I don't want a lack of materials to hold my kids back, as they are such hardworking, kind, and creative problem solvers.
