Our class would like to take a deeper dive into the story "Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry." We read an excerpt of the story in our language arts curriculum and our class had a wonderful, mature discussion about our country has changed over time dealing with racism as well as disparity and inequity. We will be reading this together as a class and discussing many issues minorities faced in the past as well as continue to face today. Our students would like to read the whole novel and continue the discussion!
