This project will help fulfill the learning need of students in the area of Reading Standards RL2.1 and RI 2.1 along with many other reading and writing standards in the second grade. This project will help students identify story elements, ask and answer questions as they are reading, and identify non-fiction text features. My students will be able to refer to the text to aid in writing narratives as well as expository text. The funding of this project will help my students become life-long readers and writers. That is the ultimate goal.

About my class
