The cricut and laminating machines will help the students in my fifth grade class by not only getting them excited to complete their research projects, but also be able to give them a chance to preserve their hard work. The research project is called Wiz Kidz. The students get to research something that they know little or nothing about, but are passionate about learning. They present the project to the rest of the class when it is complete. Those projects are then on display for the rest of the school to see. I do this project each semester. The students are excited to get to choose about something that they want to learn about. Each student topic is a different topic. There are no duplicates. The students really take pride in their projects and I just would like them to be as beautiful as they can be.
The pandemic did not allow for students to really be creative in a hands on way. Now, the students can be creative as they dive into research. This will allow them to be exhilarated to learn.
The research projects will promote Nevada Academic Content Standards by developing and using models, planning and carrying out investigations, and by analyzing and interpreting data. ( 3-5-ETS1-1, 3-5-ETS1-2, 3-5-ETS1-3 )
