As a teacher that travels from one classroom to another, teaches multiple subjects, and removes students from their classroom for small group and individual instruction, it's important that I have access to the same materials that the students do as well as additional resources that facilitate comprehension. This iPad will let me do that. The use of various media to present concepts to children that struggle with content area is essential. They are more attentive when given entertaining images and video. Applications that mimic whiteboards and projectors allow me to present examples to students in various format to an individual versus groups. I can also access textbooks and related resources remotely. Numerous programs can be accessed, ad free, reducing distractions and eliminating wasted time in class and study groups. Additionally, having the ability to wirelessly print or email from any location in the school is immensely useful. Access to mobile technology also allows me to monitor and report student progress to teachers, parents, and administrators. Other applications allow me to monitor and document student behavior required for those students identified with emotional/ behavioral disorders.
