This year, educators around the world are noticing a big shift in our students. We have all faced so many challenges, uncertainties, and difficulties for the past two years, and social and emotional play is more important than ever! Social and emotional learning is the process through which students learn skills and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions. Please help my students access the materials they need to understand their emotions, learn sportsmanship and new coping skills to help them process, adjust, and reflect on them. With these materials, we will have the resources necessary for PE and recess. During these times, students will be able to stretch and explore social and emotions needs through games and learn empathy. Students will truly be able to connect as a community and understand what it means to be a part of a group.
