Flexible seating and learning manipulatives allows special education students to stay engaged during group and independent learning. Making sure my students are sensory regulated is motivating them to remain focused. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them more effective learning choices. My students practice functional language skills with various choices of learning tools. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students’ ability to communicate their wants and needs. The tool will help each student individually communicate and support their social, emotional, and mental well-being for sensory regulation (SL. K.1.-SL.5.1).
