My name is Ms. K. and I work with students with communication disorders. This could be language (such as learning vocabulary, putting 3+ word utterances, describing, categorizing, etc.) or speech sounds (saying "pie" for "spy"). By giving objects that are exciting and motivating, students will more independently participate in communication about their environment.
This will help increase social interactions, engage conversation, and work on requesting/protesting. This will give them a chance to interact with their peers and environment, which may have been impacted due to COVID-19.
