These supplies will help promote the NVACS by allowing students to explore, be creative, and represent different concepts related to chemistry. After a year of distance learning, students need supplies to help organize themselves and collaborate with others so that they can make meaningful connections between various chemistry concepts.
HS-PS1-2: students will use supplies to create comparisons of atom’s atomic radii, write down key vocabulary associated with atoms and chemical bonding, and engage in formative assessment/collaboration through the use of whiteboards
HS-PS1-3: students will create posters with information necessary to complete a gallery walk; work will also be displayed for other students to see during passing periods
All standards: students will use a page protector for their periodic table so that they can annotate it and discover the trends present in it’s organization
