In honor of our cohort, the Drexel Dragons, I invite you to jump on the "Dragon Wagon"! We are learning in person, but confined to our classroom or play yard for academic and social emotional instruction. While keeping with covid safety protocols, each child needs their own personal materials. A huge component of school success that was missing while learning virtually was socialization and collaborative hands on projects. As a supplement to our numerous virtual field trips to art museums, science centers, zoos, music classes, gardens, and theater productions, I am requesting materials and toys to recreate these events. Some ideas are legos, k'nex, puzzles, snacks for a student led class store, headsets with microphones, play ground equipment, animal figurines, spirograph, and colored pencils. Individually, these materials will utilize their critical thinking and problem solving skills. Collectively, they can have competitions based on themes and share out their feedback on what their classmates created.
