Our school site has multiple fences that are empty canvases to create art. My students will work in pairs and collaborate to create art with yarn on multiple fences. This project will not only help students work on their fine motor skills while weaving yarn in and out of the fences but also have conversations about the process, problem solve and take pride in their creations that the whole school can see. I have tested this process with one grade level where students created multiple hearts with colorful yarn and can't wait for more students to be involved!
