In a regular year, colds and viruses run rampant in the classroom. A good air purifier can help limit the spread of these illnesses and decrease the days students are absent. Increased seat time = increased learning opportunities.
Since the pandemic started, my school has attempted to become a one to one technology school.
While this has present many new and different learning opportunities for my students, we are limited in using them to there full extent when I am stuck at the front of my classroom, tied to my old, slow, laptop. Having a new, powerful laptop will allow me to leave my desk and become a more engaging teacher. Have a good laptop will also allow me to continue providing high quality, tier 1 instruction if we are forced to return to hybrid or online learning again.
