All of my students need work on fine motor skills and these projects will assist them with that in addition to giving them ways to express themselves artistically. These projects aren't just for fun, they provide my students with organizational skills, appropriate peer interaction, and the ability to take responsibility for their art supplies and work areas. By donating to our project you will give my students the creative outlet they desperately need. These supplies will give my students weekly art time in our classroom through the end of the school year. My students will be able to make their own stuffed animal in addition to sun catchers, picture frames, craft stick puppets and much more. Having access to these supplies will give my students the opportunity to have actual art projects after almost a year and a half of distance learning. It also gives my students a chance to work collaboratively with other students on projects. This reinforces appropriate social skills which we are always working on. This will also allow them to gain exposure to Nevada Academic Content Standard (B)1.5 - Create artwork independently and collaboratively, displaying positive studio behavior including responsibility, organization, self-motivation, and appropriate interaction. In addition to NVACS (B)1.8 - Create artworks using various media, techniques, and processes to communicate ideas.
