These materials will make a difference by piquing students' interests to start reading more at home. All these students have goals to improve their reading skills, and part of what helps students be motivated to read is if they have something to read that they like. These books will be used after reading intervention lessons as a reward for students working hard in their small groups. From these experiences, I will make fun games and activities for students that center on the books that I read them.
I chose books that are popular with different age groups, as well as books that I know the students will be interested in. I asked my students what they would like to read in class when we have time, and from there I came up with these ideas.
