In kindergarten students are learning the fundamentals that will carry them throughout the rest of their educational life. The materials chosen for this project will cover several standards for reading and math such as RF.3a learning that every letter has a corresponding sound (phonemic awareness). This will allow knowledge and apply grade level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words. Because of Covid families wasn't able to sit down with their children to make sure that their little ones received this important foundation.
In math, I would like to emphasize two standards - K.CC.A.1 students should be able to count from 1 to 100 by 1's and 10's and represent each number and K.CC.A.3 students should also be able to write each number. The materials ordered here will help each student accomplish these standards with success and pride.
Thank you for this opportunity to express the needs of my students and for your help in giving them the much needed materials to reach their goals.
