My students would utilize the carpet many times throughout the school day. Its a central area of how we start and end our school day. The carpet will also be used to for group instruction as well as small group instruction. The students will be able to use this for alternative seating for independent work. We lost our carpet on August 21st, 2021 due to a catastrophic flood in our rural town. We lost our school along with our Jr. High. Several students lost family members along with their home and personal belongings. Our new placement is temporary at another school within our county. We hope to be back in our little town in a different location by fall of next year. I would love to provide a meeting area to help build community during our displacement.
