Returning to the classroom after Covid I am striving to provide a variety of opportunities for my students to practice SL1.1 Comprehension and Collaboration. I feel that games provide students with a fun way to practice having collaborative conversations with peers. In addition, games reinforce with students that there are often agreed upon rules for playing games as well just as there are for conversations.
Resources for students to practice building words and reading in pairs and small groups will be motivating for students to practice standard phonics and word recognition (RF.1.3).
