The resources that I have picked will be to benefit students in mainly my Publications and English classes. The pens and half the markers are used for color coding purposes to better assist my students in organization. The headphones will be used to benefit all of my students inside and outside the classroom. I would like all of my students to have headphones since so much of our work is digital now with the pandemic. These headphones will provide a quite work setting so that students can listen to educational material both in the classroom and at home without disruption.
I would like for my students to have a real world setting within my classroom. By gaining these supplies, I can continue to have a real world experience in my Publications class. The ink will be for our yearbook printer. This printer serves as the hub form my yearbook class. Not only do students build yearbooks, but they create a news paper and learn to edit their photos. They also have working fundraiser where they raise money through making programs for all school events and clubs. The ink will help students to continue to raise money for their club and show off their work throughout the school. The lamination machine will be to help with the print material needed within the class. This will give my students the ability to create press passes, laminate and show off their photos, and create durable guides that my students can carry to and from school. The stylus will also add to the publications class, in that it will allow artistic work to be added to the yearbook.
Standards that will be promoted with these materials are found within the Nevada Visual Arts Strand of Creating and Presenting.
