The laptop and projector will be used in the classroom to create and display digital content including mathematical models to close learning gaps for students in person and those quarantined who must learn from home. In addition, our students strive for social emotional connections and the laptop and projector will provide an opportunity to create digital media to make the students feel connected to one another and to the school.
After 18 months of distance learning, my students have gaps in their foundational math skills. By creating extra opportunities in a virtual platform, students will be able to close the learning gaps and connect to the material.
Nevada Standards that will be addressed: NS: G.MG.A.1; NS: G.MG.A.3; NS: S.ID.A.1; SMP#4 - Model with Mathematics; NS: SC1.1, 4.3; NS: SC3.3, 4.5; To practice effective communication, leadership, and presentation skills. [NS: SC1.2, 3.1, 4.3]; as well as focusing on Social Emotional Wellbeing of our student body.
