The items I've chosen will help to supplement what we are doing in my video production class. We have four 12.9" iPad Pros that we are working to turn into complete filming and mobile editing stations that can be taken home with students. Little by little, we are adding the best microphones, keyboards, carry cases, and adapters for the job! These items will assist students in meeting many video production standards, but most specifically addressing CTE standards 3.0 and 6.0 (Demonstrate the use of video production equipment and understanding the editing process). Our iPads are currently equipped with excellent recording and editing apps and we have already purchased tripods, adapters and protective cases. I am hoping that providing students with a complete mobile filming and editing package, students will be able to spend time at home filming, editing, and experimenting, as most times there isn't enough time in class to complete everything necessary to create great videos. Due to hardships caused by COVID, many families don't have the financial resources to purchase video equipment or computers for their families. This way, students can take a complete package home with them to explore their video ideas. Not to mention, mobile device filming and editing is becoming more popular.
