Being a first time speech therapist who has to move around to different schools makes it difficult to have therapy materials that would benefit the wide variety of students I work with. Speech visuals will allow students a more dynamic way to understand the goals that we are working on, such as language or speech sounds.
The games, stickers, and toys will allow the students to have something to work towards and have something that will motivate them. Having fidgets will help students who may need a little bit of help focusing or help with decompressing after feeling overwhelmed. Some of the materials will help with phonemic awareness and understanding how to segment and decode words they are unfamiliar with.
The books will help with practicing stuttering techniques to build confidence in connected speech. The books with also help to elicit language for the students who are either working on receptive or expressive language skills.
