The products that I have chosen will help us work with our students on their reading and writing skills. The easels are the perfect size to sit on the desks at our small group stations and the students can use the magnetic upper and lower case letters to practice spelling CVC sight words with direct instruction from the teacher. Some students are still struggling with hand-eye coordination and their fine motor skills so the magnetic alphabet tracing boards will give them a more tactile response when they are practicing writing their letters correctly. Students that are able to recognize CVC words are able to start linking them together in order to form sentences. The Tap and Track flipbooks will be a great way for students to follow along when building and reading simple sentences. Those that are beginning to write their own sentences often find difficulty in leaving a space between the words and their disabilities can make it hard to hold a finger in place while writing. The finger spacers will make this task must easier for our students.
