Being able to purchase books for our classroom will help to develop my students as readers. As well as purchase book bins for each student. Book bins will allow students to have a place to easily access books at their grade level to read. We have an array different leveled readers in the classroom. As a first time teacher, my classroom lacks books for my students to read. Being able to purchase books for our classroom will help students become better readers and allow us to do small reading groups. Student enjoy getting to go into our classroom library to pick out books. Our current library lacks books for all my students to read. I have many lower readers in class who do not have access to books at their reading level at home. They are not able to read at home to help improve their reading. All my students enjoy reading, but are beginning to have a hard time finding a book they are able to comprehend and find interesting. Being able to add to our library will give my students more choice on book that they are interested in and that they are able to read.
