I am requesting craft materials that my students can use in class to build models and structures. One of the hands-on projects I like doing and the students always have a blast with is our popsicle stick model building. I have students choose a structure from the topic were studying. For instance we're doing this project right now in my World History class, students have chosen to build viking ship models, medieval churches and castles, farms, besides that I've had pyramids, Eiffel Tower, plenty to name. The students take a lot more ownership of their work, and their research on the topic becomes more in depth as they really take pride in the quality of their structure. They are able to work in groups and socialize, working on communication and group skills.
