My students will learn about how others live outside of the US and what are their family traditions in those countries. Giving them a broader aspect of other cultures. They will learn how to respect and live with one another. I found some that personally will help build some of my students' self-esteem and help them be encouraged to love themselves. I found some that will allow us to do as a class and talk about the events, sequence of the events, and what they enjoyed most about the books. The journals are for the children to write about their traveling experience of the people and animals they occur while receiving stamps on their passports.
Our first adventure was going to the deserts of Sahara, where they learned about the animals and plants that live and grow in the desert. And we will continue to work our way through different areas of the desert until next week, the children want to visit China. Making the children passports has been the best.
