This year, social-emotional learning is our school's essential focus! Being that our students have lived a majority of their life in a pandemic, it is important for them to gain social-emotional learning even before they are able to dive into any academic learning. These books will be used to support our Second Step Emotional Learning program. We will read aloud and discuss how the characters are feeling emotionally and how they solve their problems. This will provide them an example for them to follow in the classroom and at home. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve or social-emotional well-being, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement
