Research shows that students who are offered seating, incentive and project base learning opportunities feel more safe, engaged and in control of their progress. By providing students multiple alternative seating options, reinforcers and personalized project based learning projects, growth will be made.
During the pandemic, neurodiverse children have been impacted more than their community peers--setting them back emotionally and socially even further. CCSD has incorporated Social, Emotional, and Academic Development (SEAD) which includes FIVE Competencies which drive the need for the items requested--
1) Self-awareness
2) Self-management
3) Social awareness
4) Relationship skills
5) Responsible decision-making
The items requested would better provided materials and opportunities to our children that I am unable to financially offer.
