My middle school students (6th and 8th graders) would benefit from immersing themselves in the amazing novels by Jason Reynolds, specifically "Long Way Down" and "Ghost". We will complete novel studies that will create discussions that will touch upon the social/emotional well being of each of member of the class! I plan on using the novels "Long Way Down" and "Ghost" to teach vocabulary, character development, theme, use of literary devices, as well as for the main subject for our class discussions. It will be beneficial to have a classroom set of each book to use in my classroom. I'm looking forward to using engaging books such as "Long Way Down" and "Ghost" in order to help my students fall even more in love with reading!
