COVID has put a lot of kids behind, including kindergarteners as most of my students didn't attend preschool which results in them not knowing how to hold a pencil and not knowing their letters and letter sounds. All of the materials I have asked for will help my students catch up and be on track for first grade.
W.K.1-8: The pencil grips will help my class meet all writing standards as some of my students aren't able to hold a pencil correctly yet.
RL.K.4, RL.K.10, RI.K.10, RF.K.2, RF.K.4, RF.K.3: The Sight word sentence center, easel, headphones, organization chart, stamps, build-a-word crayon boxes, and CVC word match will all help my class meet these standards when we do small groups and centers with the materials listed. The tools and materials will motivate and encourage my students to read and write on their own.
