These resources will promote Nevada Academic content standards by allowing students to play educational games to work on math and science standards. This will be helpful for students social emotional learning, class environment building, team building, and individual expression. These materials will also help students focus in class, allowing them to get more out of their academic day.
My students enjoy working hard all week, in order to receive free work time. This free work time allows students to work on task that they choose. This also promotes creative thinking and individuality. My class would benefit from these materials because it would give everyone the opportunity to play with a game or manipulative of their choice.
A few standards that the materials will help us achieve are the following:
l.4.6- Acquire and use grade level appropriate vocabulary
SL.4.1- Participate in a range of collaborative discussions with diverse partners
RF. 4.1- Knows and applies grade level phonics and word analysis skills when reading words.
