Each of these materials connect to a standard for my students to learn and master by the end of second grade. Some of the standards include RL.2.2, RL. 2.1, K-2ETS1-1,2,3 and RL.2.5 I want my students to be able to have a hands-on experience with their learning, rather than paper to pencil work daily. My students lost a lot of hands-on experiences when COVID hit, and as a new teacher entering the school system, I want to ensure that my students are getting the best education and enough resources to ensure they are successful for next school year too. I want my students to be able to get the opportunity to do stations to help with their learning in a fun and challenging way. With the touch read blend and the math machines, the students will be able to challenge themselves and become accountable for their own learning. I as well would love the students to have their own clocks so we could use them during our math review games for our final assessments. My goal for my students this year is to use the STEAM challenges, the student clocks, the touch read blends, and the math machines to make learning fun and engaging for them to be prepared for their final test at the end of the unit.
