I mainly teach geometry and financial algebra and many of my students arrive unprepared to work because of a lack of basic school supplies. My students need pencils, paper, erasers and whiteboard lapboards. The lapboards help me get instant feedback when I check for understanding, and the pencils and paper are necessary daily needs for my students. It is frustrating to watch kids that are eager to learn and do not engage because they are afraid another student might mock them for not having their proper materials. This can help.
