RL6.10 This book is used for a 3-week project. Students are able to read the story of a young man's struggle to climb seven summits. By following along with the plot of this nonfiction narrative, students will learn perseverance is everything. We will also compare the novel to short articles and videos that show the importance of not giving up on dreams. While we have access to the book online, the physical books will help students that don't have the internet at home to keep up with their reading. Also some students just do better with a regular book rather than reading it off of the computer. The tablet will help me be mobile so I can move around through the classroom to assist students as we read the novel rather than be stuck at my computer desk.
