Since students have returned to face to face learning, I am trying to engage my students as much as possible with the technology they have started to incorporate into their learning model as well as the tried and true, traditional learning model. We belong to a Title I-funded school and many students are eligible for free or reduced-price meals. They often need materials in the classroom, but since we are trying to continue using technology in the classroom, they also need supplies to help them with technology. Batteries will help them use the technologies we have already available in the classrooms (e.g., microphones, projectors, wireless headphones). In addition, a monitor allows them to view text to speech as well as audio books and video clips in small groups (for collaborative work). Since we are still struggling with COVID-19, materials and supplies for the general safety are still in high demand in order to maintain a safe environment due to the COVID-19 virus in my small classroom. I have students with various health issues, and they struggle to wear a mask. In order to keep all students safe from the virus, an air purifier will ensure a healthy, safe learning environment so students can consistently attend class.
