The equipment chosen will allow for students to take part in more sport activities. Activities such as flag football, which is a part of the 7th grade curriculum as a team sport, will be available for students in the 6th grade to play. On Fridays, students have a choice of activity, and this will give 6th grade students the opportunity to play flag football and also learn about playing team sports.
The "Have a Ball" Value Pack will provide for better quality of basketballs. The basketballs we currently have go flat even after being pumped up. The jump ropes will give students more options to play if they do not want to participate in flag football or basketball. The ball bag will be used to store the balls in when they are not in use. The bases will be used in the gym and outside at the field when students are playing kickball--bases will be used instead of cones, which are currently being used.
