Most of my class is below grade level when it comes to reading. My school is a ZOOM school meaning some students leave my classroom to work on reading fluency while the rest of my students stay in the classroom with me to practice phonics skills. Phonics is one of my favorite things to teach and it's been amazing to see my students loving it just as much as I do! I've had to get creative to determine the most engaging ways to teach phonics. My students love being able to get out of their seats to work with their classmates so I really want to be intentional about creating phonics centers for my students to participate in during this time. These games would help extremely with the standard RF-2-3 Apply phonics to decode words at a second grade level because once they are able to apply phonics then their reading possibilities are endless!
