Each of the products selected will give all students in our school access to tools that can help calm them when they are upset. The fact that there will be a calm down kit in every classroom, office and area of our building where students might need help, allows us to support all student's, wherever they might be when big emotions occur. Having sensory toys/fidgets that students enjoy with the added benefit of calming is essential to our calm down kit! Our kits will have stress balls to squeeze, pop its, one of the most popular toys for school aged kids, breathing spheres, to help guide calm breathing, tools for writing/drawing, and even a timer to allow students to regulate their own calm time. All tools will have picture and written directions that will allow students to use them independently and as needed to regulate emotions.
