The LEGO Robots will cover many academic and technology standards. Our goal is address as many engineering and technology standards as possible. Each lesson will include detailed instructions in assembling and engineering robots. Coding lessons will begin basic to more complex tasks. Students will work with partners and use computer coding skills to navigate actions of their robots. The goal is to have each pair of students assemble a robot that students can control by creating code that will enable their robot's actions. Below is a list of some of the standards that will be addressed.
4.AP.A.1
Test, compare, and refine multiple algorithms for the same task and determine which is the most appropriate. (P3.3, 6.1-3)
4.AP.PD.1
Test and debug (identify and fix) errors in a program or algorithm to ensure it runs as intended. (P6.1-2)
4.AP.C.1
Develop programs that include sequences, events, loops, and conditionals. (P5.2)
P1.2
Address the needs of diverse end users during the design process to produce artifacts with broad accessibility and usability
