I will use this book to reinforce the SEAD-5 Social and Emotional Competencies and talk through topics like friendship, bullying, and standing up for others. I have noticed that many of these skills are lacking after time without school and social interaction. It will also hit many of our literacy standards including RL 5.2.
The wobble stools will also help students to feel comfortable as they learn and provide a good option for those students who struggle to focus while sitting in a traditional seat. Overall, these items will help me to create a comfortable learning environment for students both physically and emotionally.
About my class
