In PE we do many different activities which require a wide variety of equipment. We do units of kicking, throwing, tossing, and fitness. These all are part of the Nevada standards I teach 1.5.2 Perform manipulative skills in simple combinations. 3.5.1 Participate in a variety of moderate to vigorous physical activities. Using the scooters is a great way to strengthen their leg and core muscles while having fun. I only get to see my students for 50 minutes twice a week. It is important to utilize this time as best as I can. The items that I am asking for will complete the sets of equipment I already have.
This means that all students will be actively engaged the whole 50 minutes because I will have enough equipment for everyone to use.
This will also help cut back with having to share equipment, keeping the students safer from COVID-19.
