This stereoscope microscope will let students see for themselves what we are looking for as evidence in Forensic Science. The boom will allow us to examine all kinds of potential evidence from hairs & fibers, to fingerprints. The integrated camera ensures that the whole class can see at the same time (by projecting it onto a computer) and images can be shared and compared to ensure access to all students regardless of physical location.
I hope to encourage students to think critically about what we can determine as forensic scientists and make examinations and conclusions for themselves by using this stereoscopic microscope. The gloves allow for safety and professional practices when handling evidence.
