As a first year teacher, I want to give my students a carpet spot of their own. This really helps the students to understand spatial awareness and groupings. With this carpet they can be grouped by their row, the color of their column, the carpet spot's shape, etc. Having this carpet will really help the students to know where to go, to have a space of their own and to have a central meeting location for all of them. The students love pair-sharing and collaborative work and this carpet would really help them to interact with everyone.
