Flexible seating will help my students have a choice of how they want to be positioned while they learn. After all, we are all unique individuals. The sensory items (sand, weighted vest, shoulder wrap, beads, sensory bin) will help my students with ASD by providing them with something appropriate as a replacement behavior, or to calm themselves. These highly desirable materials will also be used as an incentive and/or when the student may need a calming break. The learning games will help my students learn to read with fun alternate activities to supplement the regular education standards and curriculum. The color printer and ink will help my students by providing real life examples for their social stories, behavior charts, daily schedules, as well as academic real life examples such as money. The pencil grips will help my students with five motor/ writing difficulties. Conversation starters will help my students with social deficits to communicate in the real world. The word building puzzles will help my students with dyslexia and learning disabilities in the area of reading.
