My classroom was created by splitting a larger multi-purpose room into two smaller rooms (one of which is the teacher workroom). Because of this, I am left with no storage in my room and very few leftover supplies. I am creating a dual-use room and I am in need of varied supplies. This project is primarily centered around assisting my math students. Calculators, whiteboards, notebooks, pencils, manipulatives, and math visual aids are basic supplies that my students need to succeed. These common supplies assist in all math content standards grades 5-8 such as 5.OA, 6.NS, 7.EE and 8.G to name a few. The camera helps me connect to students who are distance learning during COVID so they can receive the best instruction possible.
Many of my students have very diverse learning needs. Chair bands, fidgets, noise-canceling headphones, and flexible seating items support my students with learning barriers such as ADHD focus on the task and hand and be successful. The shelving unit and bulletin board allow me to have storage in the classroom and post important information so that I can provide an organized and calming environment.
