These games are tools for enriching their understanding of the content that we cover in US History, World History, and Government. Students love games and this gives them hands on application of the content.
My students have a litany of responsibilties outside the classroom, which absolutely interferes with their time for fun. Additionally, something about high schoolers makes them reluctant to socialize with people outside their typical friend group.
These games will provide students with a moment of levity in their otherwise busy lives, while also giving them an opportunity to engage socially with their peers. Plus, it is a hands-on, fun, engaging approach to learning about history.
