COVID-19 has taken so much time away from my students and the chance for them to obtain an in-person pre-k experience. Let alone them being able to be around other children their own age as stay at home orders along with health concerns were a major problem. The resources I have requested warrant my students the chance to work with their peers while also enhancing their learning. I have noticed that the majority of my students are behind as most were unable to even write their name starting this school year. This means my students had limited knowledge on letters and sounds and are continuing to struggle. Incorporating hands on alphabet materials allows my students the opportunity to take charge of their own learning, while also making it a more fun and inviting activity.
