Our classroom carpet is a place where we spend many special moments. It is where everyone feels at home. We read and discuss stories, collaborate with our friends through partner talk, new skills are introduced and so much more. It cultivates a loving classroom community, new learning, and creativity. My students will have the opportunity to have a comfortable and safe place to come together and explore the world of literature. Creating this cozy environment will foster their love for reading even more. Having a place where students feel comfortable and confident is so important for their development.
