Providing stools for our studio will allow our peer mentors seats while they help and support our less experienced potters learn how to throw. The stools will also be used so our young potters can sit and watch our more experienced potters throw. There is much to be learned from observation while learning.
This additional seating will also support our community based studio environment where students are encouraged to socialize and interact with each other, face to face, throughout the creative processes of the ceramic arts.
Our studio goes from being so quiet you can hear a pin drop, to being filled with laughter and thick with hard conversations. All are welcome in this necessary space! These stools will enhance our welcoming environment.
